The Experience
If you are looking for a fun way to travel and visit (probably) the greatest city in the world, don't look any further. We offer volunteers to stay with us and explore their wanderlust! You would work 20 hours per week, from helping our cleaning staff to cooking with guests. You would live in the direct city centre. If you're friendly and open to making new friends and having new experiences, we would love to have you.

Hannah and Tanja are the best managers ever! Shifts are simple and the times are very flexible most of the time. Other volunteers are al so amazing so the whole experience is a 10/10!

Working at the 5EH was my first volunteering experience abroad and it set the bar high for my next experiences. Firstly, the city of Leipzig feels smaller than most major cities in Germany, so it was a great opportunity to practice German. The hostel is conveniently located at the very heart of the city; and the volunteers dorm at the hostel is huge and super comfortable. I truly believe the best part were the people. The 5EH felt like a big family. I created lifelong friendships with other volunteers and all the housekeepers and staff were super nice! H, T & R are the best managers

It was a unique experience!! This is literally the best volunteer program in Germany. You get breakfast and laundry included, and the volunteers live in a beautiful penthouse. Everything is comfortable and clean—it's like living in a dream, in your own all-inclusive luxury apartment. Hannah will be your manager, and she is so sweet and perfect ❤️. You also get discounts at the bar, and seriously, every single person on the staff is the kindest person you'll ever meet. The experience was really delightful. I had such a great time with all the volunteers and the staff. All members of the hostel are such lovely people, that make you feel at home. I actually extended 10 more days, because of that environment. Hannah and all the rest of the managers are both firm and chill about the volunteer task. I think the best thing i can say about my time there is that this is now the standard of a good volunteer experience
