The Exchange

We’re a queer-owned business and unapologetically affirm all sexual orientations and gender identities/expressions. Activities: manage lobby opening and closing duties depending on weekly schedule, check-in guests and inform them of services and accommodation rates, make reservations from guest email inquiries, answer phone calls, clean guest rooms and common spaces, and comply with our procedures and safety policies for both staff and guests.


20 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Program Details

Success at Modal includes a positive, professional, and pleasant attitude through common tasks and challenging situations. Our goal is to provide the ultimate satisfactory experience for our guests from arrival to departure. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a can-do attitude, pro-active energy, and a sharpened skill of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Activities & Shift

This position on any day may require: to set out breakfast in the morning by 6:30AM, check-in any late arrivals after hours, take guest emails and phone calls, clean guest rooms and bathrooms, and handle washing and folding linens after guests checkout.

All Personal Belongings Must be Kept in an Orderly Fashion in the Staff Quarters
All Personal Food Must be Labelled and Stored in the Kitchen Staff Area
No Personal Cell Phone Usage While on Duty
