The experience

In this task you will help our enthusiastic kitchen team with our kitchen work (cleaning, dishwashing, maybe even some cooking) When needed you will also help at other parts of the hotel.

This position is for a minimum of 4 weeks.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Dutch

Over 25 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Program Details

We offer volunteers;
A nice job in a young and ambitious company
Cozy workplace with possibilities for your own input
A bed in a shared room with maximum 1 other volunteer (But if you stay for a longer period we always try to keep your room private),
Breakfast, lunch and dinner
(Breakfast and lunch are a simple bread meal. Diner is a warm meal.)
Further we are here to help you with whatever needed and possible 😊

Activities & Shift

We ask volunteers;
Work for 5 days a week about 6 hours a day,
To speak English on the work floor and in the common area’s
To be flexible, representative, spontaneous, hospitable and customer-friendly
To be honest and trustworthy
To work as a “normal” employee, although this is volunteering you will be seen as a “normal” employee so with the same brake times and working times, and the same working speed as would be requested from everyone else.
As our company is open 7 days a week, it is obvious that you must also be available on weekends, during school holidays and on public holidays.

Rules

Not allowed in our hotel;
The use of (soft) drugs,
The use of too much alcohol,
Loud music and parties,
The smoking of cigarettes is only allowed outside.
Overall it is important to know that we are a hotel with mostly older people who come here to enjoy a relax and comfortable stay. Although it is important that our staff has to have a good time, we all have to protect the interests of the guests.
