The experience

We are a family-run hostel in the centre of Alicante, very close to the central market and the night life district. We need help with cleaning, reception and sometimes a bit of bartending. We want people that can work on a social environment, that are engaging and also responsible with their work, the atmosphere is really good and it is a great opportunity to improve your spanish and get to know cool people from around the globe.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pub Crawls: Be a part of our pub crawls at local bars!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Requirements

Intermediate English and Intermediate Spanish

Over 18 years old

European Union Passport

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We expect people to come here with good vibes but also we need them to be responsible with their work as they will be the face of the hostel!
From our side we will do our best to integrate the volunteer into our family and show him/her the best of Alicante and our culture.

Activities & Shift

Shifts can vary between the morning and the afternoon. In each shift the idea is to keep the hostel clean, tidy and cheery! In the morning, cleaning and preparing rooms is the main activity. Also, a bit of reception is needed during all shifts!
