The Shelter Hostel is located in Eilat, a small town in a stunning location on the Red Sea and surrounded by mountains. 30 hours of help per week
Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.
1 day off per week
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!
Between 19 and 30 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Each volunteer fills all the positions - registering guests, cleaning, and collecting payments
We expect our staff to be friendly and be available to interact with guests and fellow volunteers
They should have a strong commitment to the Lord Jesus and a heart for people.
Volunteers can expect to be part of something meaningful, to be treated with dignity, to develop their abilities - music, art, Bible teaching, youth work, and decision-making.
The day is divided into shifts of between 4 to 6 hours with each staff member having their time to be on duty.
This person is responsible for checking in new guests, answering the phone, tidying up, and generally talking to the visitors and dealing with their questions.
All volunteers help clean the hostel from 10:00 to 11:00 and then join the Bible study from 11:00 to 12:00
