My experience at Oportocean was pretty fun. The staff is awesome and I really felt at home. Everyone is treated in the same way (staff+guests) so we usually go out together at night or to the beach. I have to say that some tasks given weren't the ones said on the website what pissed me off a little bit but nothing that a good conversation can't change things. I learned a lot during the weeks I stayed there and I hope to be back in Portugal soon so I can see my Oportocean friends again.
Saudades, Porto! Beijinhos.

This modern, loving hostel is definitely somewhere you should volunteer at. The staff will become your family and the work is very reasonable. Future improvements to the hostel (social etc) are already in the pipeline and will only increase the hostels already high standard.

In short, highly recommend it.

The host and staffs are really friendly and nice. For the workload, it is not heavy at all and you can always share the tasks with your fellow worldpackers together as a team. For the hostel itself, it is really nice with high privacy for the beds and everything is so well-organized and clean which gives me a feeling of being home. I have made so many friends here and definitely recommend other worldpackers to join this warm family and enjoy a great work exchange experience.

Oportocean Hostel it's a great place to volunteer! It is a very warm and cute place, it feels like a home, the staff is very friendly and approachable, the location is good, you can walk to the beach and very close to the metro station. Thanks to Vania for making my stay enjoyable.
