Being with Mads was an marvelous experience. Mads is someone with a lot of skills and willing to share them. On my stay I learned a lot from building to basics in cooking. I really appreciate all he taught me and how he shares his experience.
The place it's a very nice project. Deep into the wild, with monkeys, turtles, lagarto and many plants. I found myself at peace here, enjoying the beach and the jungle during the day, and watching movies at night. I hope for the best

It was an amazing experience, the place is wonderful, Mads welcomed me very well to Happy Hammock, a very polite, committed and respectful person, a friend and a perfect chef, with delicious cuisine, an experience that I will take with me for a lifetime, I practiced English, Spanish, I learned cooking, connected with nature, enjoyed the wonder of the Praia Vermelha.

I don't know how to explain how amazing is to be in praia vermelha for a while. Mads is one of the greatest chefs I've ever met (and I know many), his food is always great and always a surprise, besides that he's a great friend. Andrea is awesome too, super funny, very communicative and makes the best Jorge amados ever! I met Patrick later but he's pretty welcoming too. The other volunteers were really nice and we had a lot of fun. Anyone who wanna be in touch with nature, practice english and have great times in a stunning beach, should come. It totally worth it!!

This is a unique experience! You'll be working in paradise, the beach is beautiful and in the morning and night, it's practically dessert. The forest is preserved and the food is amazing and mostly vegan, for me a plus. The hostel is very rustic, and a lot of spaces do not have ceiling lining, being in nature you WILL encounter a lot of wildlife so be aware and bring a lot of bug repellent.Working in the kitchen was cool and I learned a lot but the shifts were usually from 8:00 to 12:00 - 18:00 to 20:00, so I would not recommend this spot for people who wants to conciliate it with another job

These were really indescribable moments. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, committed, they were always willing to help and help us when needed. They gave us all the support we need. We were in direct contact with nature and it was very relaxing. The place is beautiful, the scenery incredible and the food amazing. The work is not heavy, it was possible to combine work and rest without problems. We learned a lot, we acquired new skills, we had the opportunity to share excellent moments with the hosts, volunteers and guests. We had everything that volunteering can offer and more.
