I spent 3 weeks with Pedro and he did everything to make we feel welcomed. The weekly schedule is very relaxed and you have a lot of free time to explore Bogotá and the area. It is definitely the perfect opportunity for meeting locals, improving your spanish and simply emerging in the Columbian culture. It’s been an experience I wouldn’t trade in for the world and it made me fall in love with the Columbian culture and people. 10/10 would recommend. Just make sure you know some basic Spanish beforehand:)

Well, I don’t know from where to start, before anything it was one of the best experiences of my life. That’s kind of experience reminds me why I like so much to travel. The experience with the Fundación Anawin was about love, about connection with people, about breathing with the help of the beautiful Colombians landscapes and about the generosity of Pedro. I never was so well treated in some trip of this nature. I’m very happy!!

Pedro is a very caring and sensitive host who is eager for travelers to experience as much as they share with local youths and children he works with through his foundation. He has a large dog called Aika who is adorable and will take you for walks through the park Piedras del Tunjo

I couldn't find the right words to express how fun this experience was, Pedro is the most amazing host ever and his dog Ayka is the cutest! I was able to go into amazing places where, most likely, I wouldn't had been without staying at Pedro's. He's flexible with the schedule and the kids we got to meet where too cool. I would do it again if I have the chance. No dudaría en volver a compartir esta experiencia! Estar en la fundación es una lección de vida, y te permite conocer lugares hermosos. 5 estrellas sin duda.

I went for one week to collaborate at the Fundacion, the tasks were really easy and fun photography, workshops with the kids and volunteers of the foundation. The weather is cold so bring your coat. The town is 1 hr and half from the centre of Bogota. The host is really nice and he has a crazy but fun puppy that is big jejeje so if you also love animals you nailed it. I had a great time to connect also with my spiritual side and disconnect from the routine.
