The Experience

Our cozy pousada is located in Ilha do Guajiru, a beautiful laid back & safe beach village in one of the best kite spots in Brasil. We are surrounded by palm trees and facing a big lagoon, which is perfect for kite surfing in our windy season.

I had a great experience at the guest house. Jose and Teresa where in charge at that time, and I didn't have the opportunity to meet Angela at the place. They were super respectfull, good people, and thay aim volunteers to enjoy their time at the place all the day. The working hours were the agreed ones. I was at the bar and kitchen, so i learned new recipes and how to make caipirinhas. Beeing at the bar allows you to improve your english because the main clients are from europe. I specially recomend the experience to kitesurfers because is the vibre you will find there.

It's complicated, the place is perfect and the guests, employees and another volunteers as well but the host... I will not tell personal things but in general Angela is not a kind person to work, she don't understand anything about technical things and judge with the same way, and besides she start me to charge about my days there but in the end who owe me money is Angela because I put it everything of the website and webapp with my credit card and she not pay me back. I not recommend the position for who want to apply for a developer position.

Angela replied

Henrique seemed extremely lost and not at a good stage in his life. As a result, our experience was an absolute disaster and had a negative impact on our guests, the entire team and the workflow.

Not to be recommended at all!

I really enjoyed the time i spent in Ilha do guajiru. I met the nicest people I could have and i had so much fun during this month and half. The work is easy and you can rest enjoying the beautiful view in front of the pousada. Amazing and health vegan food all the time. Thanks for everything!!
