It was my first trip as a worldpacker and it was amazing. The chores were very simple and the hostel was very comfortable, even in a shared room. I know wonderful people there and I could do tourism all through the month. I am very grateful to the staff at Marilyn Mansion for giving me this opportunity. It was Fantastic! Certainly, I will repeat the worldpacker experience on my next holidays in a new place. Sláinte!
Located in a beautiful, quaint area of Dublin city, MM provides a wonderful opportunity to explore Dublin and all that makes her one of the greatest cities in the world. The work itself was straightforward and not all too time consuming. I felt that I was trained sufficiently. Sometimes, however, the experience/work/guesthouse felt disorganized and left something to be desired. Communication within the staff felt hit or miss. All in all, though, I am thankful for this experience.
I had a nice experience at Marilyn Mansion during the 3 weeks I stayed there.
The job wasn't hard, and accommodations are very simple, but comfortable. The hotel's location is great - I always felt safe in the neighbourhood, and had no problem walking to the city center. Staff is mostly nice and fun.
Job training should've been more complete, though, and management could've participated more on the first days.
