Here, we assign you a local elementary/primary or secondary/high school where you will teach language for 12 weeks (1 semester). On the side, you'll be having maximum fun interacting, playing with and having excursions with your learners. This position is so rewarding as you'll change a kid's future prospects. William is an amazing guy, very courteous and ready to do what he can do to make you happy to stay in Africa and in his house. Maria is the best chef in Kenya, she cooking really really well. And I miss so much the kids, I had a great time with them and I hope that the next volunteer will be able to continue what I and Camila have started (The feed program and Girl's empowerment). Thank you so much and I hope see you soon amigo boom boom boom.
The project helps a lot of kids via a soccer team, kids that without the NGO would stay in the street. Also, through it they are helped to apply to study in the schools, because it’s very expensive and their family can’t afford it.
About our experience,we focus to work with the mothers of those children,so we plant a seed to create a cooperative integrated 100% of women, we raise money to teach them the job and now their are starting to work. We believe that is a good project because to help the childs is mandatory to help the families.

My experience in Thika was great. William took really good care of us and the communication with him it's always easy and so nice. He will work his best to make you feel home. The food is good, and the accommodation it's nice too. I'll hardly recommend going there when the raining season it's over since it's more difficult to work with the kids when it's raining. But if you enjoy working with kids, you want to get to know a little bit more about Africa, and you are open mind, that might be your place. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like more information!
