The Experience

Welcome to our home in St Agnes, Cornwall. We live here with Dorothy, my grandma (she is 96!). We are 10minutes from the beautiful beach, there is lots of dramatic nature to enjoy. The village is a 1min walk with plenty of pubs/restaurants/ and shops. We run a guest house here. Task include: Changing beds/cleaning rooms/working in the garden/ some refurbishment and manual work (painting/building etc)/ house maintenance/spending time with Dorothy

Penkerris, my home for a month, and Charlie and Rosie were like my family while I was there. Thank you so much for having me.
This was my first worldpackers experience abroad and I definitely recommend it.
You will feel at home, having great people to talk with, who are happy to help you with new idioms and vocabulary.
Saint Agnes is a quiet and nice place where people say hi when they see you walking. The landscape is beautiful.
Penkerris is a house with a lot of history and an amazing garden where you can enjoy picnics. There's a bus stop just outside the house and shops around the corner

Penkerris is a beautiful house, we had everything we need, the room is big, comfortable and has a nice view of the garden. The work is easy and the time is more than fair. But the best part is that we had the opportunity to meet Rosie and Charlie, thank you both for everything, you are amazing people and we learned so much from you, we appreciate your patience helping us with our English and specially for making us feel that we were between friends.

I had the time of my life at Penkerris, St Agnes. Since this was my first volunteering experience ever, it was the best start I could ask for, to the volunteering journey. Charlie & Rosie are amazing hosts. Dorothy is an entertainer :D and she's got the best stories. They make you feel at home always and they even took me to places to explore. Charlie is an excellent piano player and I was lucky enough to attend a couple of his gigs. Rosie is a brilliant cook. She made me try traditional British food. The work is simple and you'll be given training . You'll have PLENTY of time to explore :)
