I am learning to speak English, I have learned a lot of vocabulary so far, I think. I would like to practice fluent conversation with each volunteer so that they can teach me new vocabulary and how to speak it :) Estoy aprendiendo a hablar Ingles, he aprendido mucho vocabulario hasta ahora, creo, Me gustaría practicar conversación fluyente con cada voluntario y que puedan enseñarme nuevo vocabulario y la manera correcta de hablar su idioma :)

I loved meeting Krista and staying with her. Helping her practicing and learning english was fun. Mostly we practiced before or after her work or on her days off - on those days we also did lots of nice things like hiking, eating out, meeting people, dancing and talking a lot, both in english and spanish. It was so much fun, she's very nice and I made a friend. I am very very grateful for this experience! :)

We applied for this experience expecting to learn more about Guatemala and to explore a bit on our own. What we got out of it was so much more. Krista is a wonderful, kind, and open-minded hostess. She's passionate about her country, and we learned so much about Guatemala from her.
Our classes were focused on conversation, especially around things Krista is interested in, such as marketing and online business.
We have a great time staying with Krista, and we ended up with a new friend and many fond memories. We 100% recommend this experience. ¡Muchas gracias, Krista!

Gracias Kasey eres una chica muy divertida y entusiasta, fue muy divertido, lamento no haber tenido mas tiempo para hacer mas cosas juntas, pero lo poco que pudimos fue provechoso. Tu haces ver muy fácil aprender Ingles contigo así como editar videos.

I had a great time with Krista in Xela! She is very easy to get along with and we had many fun and open conversations with each other in English and Spanish! We even went out to the natural hot springs in the mountains and went out for food on her day off which was the highlight of my week in Xela! Definitely stay with Krista during your trip to Xela/Guatemala!

Krista is so incredibly inviting and welcoming. She is very willing to give you recommendations on what to do in Xela and will even go out with you when she's free. The work is very easy and fun and you get your whole days free to enjoy all that there is to do! Would definitely recommend. Thanks Krista!
