The hostel was my first volunteer and it couldn't have been better! Michel and Franklin were amazing hosts, treating us to Dutch desserts, providing us costumes for carnaval, taking us the Efteling theme park on my last day. Both always willing to help and offer recommendations, and overall great people! The work is easy, I did the cleaning shift for my month, and it was usually only 2 hours a day. And they allow you to pick your days off! Thank you Michel and Franklin for your hospitality, and my fellow volunteers for making my time in Eindhoven so memorable, can't wait to see you all again! ❤️

Absolutely amazing! If you're looking for a volunteer-friendly place to experience Eindhoven, this hostel is your best option. Located just a short walk from the city center, the hostel is situated in a quiet residential area and Michel & Franklin will be ready to surprise you. We had Carnival costumes, cozy atmosphere, a bigger room was set for us. If you're a good fit and you follow the rules, you'll definitely enjoy your stay. I'd recommend it to anyone who is craving for being helpful. Thanks for the trip to Efteling too. It was my first time going to roller coasters.

We have to stop sugar-coat his actions, it's not right the way he treats people, don't tell me it's Dutch thing, all human beings deserve respect and know that there are millions of people in the world with different cultures and different ways one of the reasons for the existence of this platform for you to learn and respect the culture of the other. this way he treats people is called abuse of power, he thinks that just because he provides a mattress the hostel he can treat people as he wants, with disrespect. RESPECT ✊🏾

Franklin and Michel were fine as hosts I feel the perceived rudeness was just them being dutch.Which is different from what a lot of people are used to.They may seem strict but honestly just follow the rules and pay attention to exactly how they want things and it's fine. They also bought champagne, chocolates, and made Dutch desserts for the volunteers while I was here for the holidays and accepted every off day anybody wanted.I came during slow season so I was bored. The Hostel is right by the city center and the nightlife more than makes up for the slow days.

Eindhoven is a small but full of life city, just one hour from Netherland main cities. About volunteering, the hostel is managed by Franklin and Michel, both originaly from Eindhoven. That was a good point for an intercultural exchange. They were educated and helpful, but probably because differences in our personalities, it was dificult to built a great relationship with Michele at work. I was in reception morning shift, was really easy preparing the hostel, check outs, cleaning Hall from 8.00 to 12.00. Volunteer room has not a closet so be organized and Clever with your lugagge and spaces
