What you offer

Hours per week: Help out and collaborate with your host only a few hours per week.

What you get

Days off per week: Have some time off for yourself, go explore the city or rest for a while.

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Support: Get help from the Worldpackers support team in case you need it, at any point of your trip.

The Experience

The organization offers charity work to the children from the slums and streets. The number of the children keep increasing every day and since we rent the premise the space is limited.We are currently constructing a school to serve over 1500 children with each class being independent and not shared. Due to the lack of finance to hire constructors we appeal to the travellers to help in the construction of the school that serves the community.

Alice, the director of the organization School, is an incredible woman who works many hours a day for the well-being of those children. She teaches and also takes care of everything needed for the best function of the school. The building is great and children are absolutely lovely. This is a great opportunity for many children who live in that area of the slum. The work that teachers, cleaners, cooks are doing is priceless and I admire them a lot. All the best for everyone.

I' ve spend 6 days in the organization fundation with my friend Pili. The experience was amazing , we ' ve been hosted in Alice' s house during the volunteering , she and her sons were so kind and helpfull. We spend really good time helping with the school and in our free time on the weekend we have been also around the city, in the church and was very very nice also these moments. For us they are our new African family , we will keep them always in our hearts.

La experiencia en la organización fue muy especial tanto por los voluntarios y coordinadores del proyecto como por la cantidad de niños que necesitan un soporte para continuar con su aprendizaje , siempre con una sonrisa y ganas de compartir. Alice y su familia nos trataron como parte de la familia , volveremos sin duda a la organización y seguiremos en contacto con ellos para siempre. Recomiendo a todos los voluntarios que se animen a pasar un tiempo en este maravilloso proyecto ya que necesitan mucha ayuda ,te harán sentir como en casa e involucraran en su cultura como uno más ; )

La organización es increíble! Trabajar con niños es a lo que he dedicado mi carrera laboral, también en voluntariado fue una experiencia muy hermosa, los niños son tan hermosos, alegres, agradecidos, son luz 💫 agradezco la oportunidad que me han dado, a Alice y las demás personas que están al frente de la organización y me abrieron la puerta de su hogar, agradezco a Debbie, la voluntaria que me enseñó a trabajar allí, en fin, a todos los que hicieron de esta experiencia la mejor! Siempre estarán en mi corazón ♥️
