Felicidade Hostel was great! The hosts are fair with all that is describe here. When you arrive, Stephane comes to ask you what you want to eat and he buys everything that you ask, very kind! The hostel is very close to the train station, which is amazing to know the near cities and I loved the Val du Loire, the place where Mer is, it's magical, with a view!
Stephani, is great! He will help you as much as he can. The Hostel stays ditry frequently, because of the manager and crew don´t clean their dishes, bathrooms (that you share) and space after they work, especially on those days that Stephani goes to Paris
The working time is flexible, but sometimes you don´t know what time you should start next day until is late of the nigth
You will work at the breakfast, cleaning the rooms and at the bar. At the bar is really good to develop your french and know the people from the town (who are nice)
Mer is a small city, but you can visit many castels
Foi uma boa experiência. Houve flexibilidade nos horários e nas tarefas.
A pequenina cidade é um charme, mas quase sem movimento. Vale conhecer e curtir um pouco do "agito" das cidades próximas.
O Stephane e a equipe me deixaram à vontade e eu indico a experiência!!!
Só tenho a agradecer! =)
My time there was awesome!!! That was a great choice!!! Everybody there is super!!! Stephane is a very nice guy, buys us food every week and we prepare our own food. The staff there are great and the hostel is very cozy. The only thing is that Mer has nothing to do there. Anyway, you can go to the train station and go around the cities like Orleans, Tours, Blois and visit very beautiful castles. Paris is 1h 1/2 from there by train, but it was a great vacation. The tasks were simple since it was low season and you can make the most of it!!! Thank you so much, guys!!!
Felicidade has been an amazing experience! Since the first day Stephane, the owner of the hostel, made you feel like home and all the volunteers were like family. Eventhough Mer it's a really quite town, there're plenty of other cities around: Beaugency (full of activities), Orleans, Blois, Chambord, Tours and Chenonceau. If you want to relax a bit but also travel around, I recommend staying there for three weeks. Choose Felicidade, you won't regret it! Quite village, but the most amazing people! :)
