I would definitely recommend this place. I tought English in the center of Hanoi and Victor and Luana were great and helpful hosts. They provide a large, clean apartment with 2 shared bedrooms and you meet great other volunteers there and make friends easily. The center of Hanoi has nice markets and great clubs which you have lots of time to visit since you only have 1-4 hours of class a day and 2 days off. Only downside: sometimes poor organization. Classes were cancelled on some days and I went to the school and waited there for a long time and nobody let me know. The fee is also quite large

I would definitely recommend this experience for other travelers.

Vietnam is a very nice city with lots of things to do. The CVTD accommodation is comfortable and easily acessible

CVTD staff are friendly and are motivated to help you, whenever you need them.

My experience with CVTD Vietnam was great ! Work with kids is really tiring and you have to keep your energy and enthusiasm all the time but when you see them smiling, having fun and the most important learning things from you it really worth it !
Sometimes it's difficult to communicate cause most of times the teachers who are with you trying to help with the kids they also don't know how to speak in English but you can find a way to understand each other haha
Even with some unexpected things they helped me and made me feel like home with their family and all the volunteers :)

I had a wonderful experience at CVTD. Dung and his family were very friendly, and they treated me like family. It was so nice to work with the children in Hanoi, teaching them English. I recommend to everyone.

I had a very pleasant stay at Dungs homestay and thoroughly enjoyed working in the care centre. However the whole thing is very unorganised and is not what is described at all. My main problem i encountered was that very very shortly before my arrival and long after I had confirmed my stay and bought my flights, I was informed that there was a large fee to pay to take part in this programme!! Which is not mentioned at all in the description and had not been mentioned in any previous conversation with the host. So if you are choosing to work in the care centre beware of this scam!!

I loved to stay in cvtd for 2 weeks and discover the Vietnam life style. I really loved dung and his family and all the staff, they are very kind:) it was a very good experience to teach for the first time, I miss it every day and will never forget this experience.
The place we stay was super comfy, far from Hanoi city center though, but I really felt like home.

My time with CVTD was absolutely incredible. This was my first trip as a solo traveller, Dung and his family's hospitality completely calmed my nerves. I felt at home the moment I arrived. The accommodation is cozy, and the hours are more than fair! I had plenty of time to travel and explore Vietnam on my days off from volunteering. The volunteering itself is a challenge, but it should be! I can honestly say being with CVTD was a life changing experience. I would love to go back.

I had a good time at CVTD! Dung and his family are really awesome hosts! They provided us a large room and comfy beds in a great house. The house is in the countryside, about 45 minutes by bus from Hanoi city center, wich is good because we were really living with locals but also not so good cause there is not too much to do around...We were sharing meals, helping and learning to cook local food and had a great time with the other volunteers (8 at the beginning, 2 at the end). I didn't feel so useful as I gave only between one and two lessons per day. I wish I could do more. Great experience
