At the zoo there are more than 100 Peruvian amazonical and andean species of animals like pumas, lions, peruvian bears, panthers, snakes, condors and others.
As a volunteer you will support the local staff with feeding the animals, giving them medical assistance, cleaning their cages, rescuing them from mistreat and giving them a proper shelter. Other tasks that might occur occasionally are helping to maintain the area in general, doing gardening, building, painting, drawing, designing banners, guiding groups and making workshops, activities and shows for children and visitors.
For participating in that project at least 3 hours of working every weekday are required. It can be chosen if the workhours should take place in the morning or in the afternoon.

We ask for a additional monetary contribution to the Worldpacker reservation fee for your expenses such as Wi-Fi, electricity, laundry, food and gas of $550 Soles per week in a shared bedroom. Travel/Health Insurance required.
