I worked at reception in the hostel and let me tell you it was a great experience. I worked four hours a day taking guests to their room and explaining to where the facilities are and what the hostel offers. The rest of the day we had it to ourselves to explore the island. Lunches provided were always delicious! Pizza is great as well but it might get a little tiring after a while. Communication can be improved. You have to reach out to host to answer any questions. Over all it was a great experience! I made good friends with the staff & met lots of people from all around the world!

The hostel was very nice and social. The lunches were amazing and it was nice that we got free dinner every day also. I thought I would get sick of the pizza but it was so good that I didn't! The hostel was very social and it was nice getting to meet so many other travelers. The job was fun, handing out the free pizza and socializing with guests before leading them to the pub crawl at night. Just make sure you are communicating with the host about what needs to be done/ what your days off will be. The island is also beautiful and it was nice since we had the days off to explore!

This was my first volunteering experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't have asked for a better destination and host. Julia and her family were very kind, welcoming, and fun. After a few days of settling in getting to know everyone in working in the hostel, I felt very comfortable and at home. In terms of the work, I was responsible for serving pizza to the guests and leading the pub crawl each night - A students dream job! I had the best time exploring the beautiful Island of Hvar in the day, meeting new people from around the world, and overall growing as a person. Will 100% be back!

I've just stayed one month at the hostel as a party promoter, and it's been so much fun! You really get to become good friends with the guests staying here make real connections with them, and the hostel owners and all the other staff are all just absolutely amazing, it's a lot of going out but if you enjoy that then the job is perfect for you, the hostel is a ten minute walk into the town, and the staff hostel about a 15 minute walk, I did get the flu one one occasion and got an injured leg on another, and the owner was so understanding and accommodating to me, Beautiful scenery too

The island is beautiful and the job hours are respected! The guests were always awesome and the lunches provided were amazing. Doing the pub crawl every night does get tiring but you do have one day off a week. Make sure to communicate and know exactly what is expected of you and just do exactly what the owners say to do because it can be confusing at first. Keep in mind the house is shared with all the employees with only one kitchen and washing machine. The room we stayed in was shared with 4 people.
