Paint magical murals at International Travelers House and help us spread the word about hostels! Join our team of passionate hosts to create the ultimate experiences for our guests!
25 hours of help per week
Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.
Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.
Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.
Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.
Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.
Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.
Between 21 and 40 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
You will join a team of artists to help grow International Travelers House!
Through painting murals and painting themed rooms at the hostel, your role add an amazing flare to our funky design.
We do require you to help with 12 hours of operational shifts so you can better understand how we welcome and hosts guests at ITH. Our team meets each week for a staff meal and to plan the upcoming week.
Weekly responsibilities include:
-12 hours of operations tasks (reception and housekeeping)
-12 hours of painting
- Host one 1-hour social event each week
-Attend the staff meeting
Operation Shifts vary on a schedule each week
The Operations Team meeting is on Monday afternoon
Operational Shifts are 4 or 6 hours long.
The painting shifts are (3) 4-hour shifts
***You are not allowed to participate in our program if you are on a travel visa***
Many worldpackers have been applying to this position recently. The host will probably not be able to respond to all of the applications, so we recommend that you also apply to other hosts in our community and not just this one :)
