Program Details

The Eugene Lodge and Intl Hostel is opening up a 100-200 person venue this summer to really become closer to our art and hippie roots. Live music 3 nights a week, and you'll be at the heart of making it happen. We are looking for 3-4 people to join our team for this specific project!

All helpers receive free breakfast, room and board, bus passes to explore the local area (free buses to the mountains for skiing/hiking and the coast for the beach), 4 days off per week, staff parties/outings (we go skiing, camping, to hotsprings, and on group trips at least once per month!). Most of our helpers chose to stay for months at a time and we love it that way!

PLEASE NOTE: Preferred candidates will express their willingness to spend the whole summer period with us! Other shorter term travelers, please see our profile for our Main Traders program.

Activities & Shift

There are 4 major roles that you'll learn how to do:
- Door and Security
- Artist Support and Booking
- Sound/Lighting
- Bartending

You'll be paired and trained by professionals in the field, who can teach you the ins and outs of stage management, and be right alongside our touring musicians. A great way to understand the music industry as it unfolds right in front of you!

Any artistic/construction/event planning experience are welcome!

You'll work 3 days a week (days of our live shows), and all other days off are yours to enjoy the local area! Grab a bus to the mountains and go skiing or river rafting! Grab a friend and go antiquing or whale watching on the coast! Borrow a bike and go on one of the many great bike rides or trail hikes inside and outside Eugene. Grab a pair of climbing shoes and climb at the columns... just a 10-minute walk away!

Rules

We offer a traditional bunk in a trader only room, with a max of 3 roomies. This position needs to be 21+ for the bartending requirement.
