The Experience

The nightshift works in a clever way. You work every other day. With this schedule you can enjoy the beach and the city many days a week! Duties: You need to answer phones, speak with guests, do check in/out, do breakfast preparation, check reservations and do administrative things. The person must be very friendly. It is an easy job, but we request lots of responsibility and commitment (only good ones stay!). Pocket money: BRL100 per week

The hostel was in a very good location, had a grocery store right below it. The work is very simple I helped paint a house, and cleaned around the hostel such as bathrooms, kitchen, the floor and more. The hours were very generous if you'd finish early then you're basically free to go, just make sure to ask just in case there's more work to do. The hosts and other volunteers are very nice they helped me out if I ever needed anything, they invited or informed me about any events going on. It was a good time, definitely would recommend.

It was my first experience as WP and for sure the craziest, the funniest and the best experience I've ever had. Can you imagine having fun every single day? You have to make sure you are opened to new things.
Once you are there EVERYONE OF THEM (the pirates - from the cleaning to the reception) will become a special family member on this special boat.
I was from the cleaning Staff and I loved my tasks and working hours. Luigi and Paulo make sure you feel confortable with your job. The cleaning staff is lovely. I love Karina, Leila, Kiko and my volunteer sister Lagertha. P.S: JUST GO; ENJOY

After years of traveling, I found Piratas da Praia to be one of the most beautiful and warmest hostels I ever stayed in. It's extremely well organized, clean, and well equipped. All permanent staff and all other volunteers were amazing, very welcoming and collaborative. Thus, I hope we get to meet and share more time together in future travels. The only issue with Piratas da Praia is that you will like it so much that very often, you will find hard to go out :)

Joining Piratas da Praia as a worldpacker was one of my best decisions in the last few months. The place is awesome, people are cheerful and friendly.

Recommended for anyone looking for an organized and fun place to collaborate.

Good experience.
