The Experience
At our school, we strive to create a safe learning environment for children, where they can gain knowledge in subjects such as English, Mathematics and Communications, as well as practical skills that will help them later on in life. Our students are joyful and energetic and we would love for our volunteers to interact with them while playing, singing, dancing and teaching. We appreciate any help you could give and you are most welcomed!

Jackie and her family were so welcoming and helpful the entire experience. I felt so safe there the entire time. Working with the children at the school is such a fulfilling experience and I would recommend to anyone. Jackie helps with all aspect of this trip and made her home feel like home, I can't thank her enough for making this experience so special! She also help set a safari for me which was such a great experience!

Jackie's primary concern is volunteers' comfort and safety. She assists with travels needs as buses can be. Infusing if you aren't a local but they are the most probable means of travel to and from the airport and to and from Arusha if you want to include a safari during your time here. I really enjoyed my time at the school both the students and the staff. I only stayed 14 days and would encourage volunteers to stay longer and also to utilize the tuk tuks earlier for some independence. Food was delicious and healthy.

I spent the past two months volunteering at the school Day Care and let me tell you… I had the best time. From the moment I landed till when I left I was never alone. I travelled solo and was here by myself and felt comfortable the whole time. Jackie is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to make sure your experience is great. So if you have always wanted to visit Tanzania and experience life like a local please don't hesitate and sign up to this experience!! Safety is a big thing for me, so the fact I felt safe I couldn't recommend it more

I can't recommend Jackie enough! Our stay with her was absolutely perfect from start to finish. She made us feel so so so welcome, so safe, so looked after and just took us in as her own. Nothing was ever to much trouble for her and she just wanted us to be free :) the school is beautiful and I miss the children so much already. I can't wait to come back and see how it's developed even more and how the babies have grown! Everyone was so beautiful and it is a trip that I will treasure forever. Asante sana for everything Jackie, you are the best and any volunteer will be lucky to hhave u ❤️❤️❤️

My experience at the school Academy was heart warming as the children make you smile and laugh. They love to give you hugs and hi fives which I will always keep close to my heart. I have learnt a lot about the culture of Tanzania and what daily life is like. I have learnt a lot about myself and will remember this experience for a long time. Thank you for this incredible opportunity and experience. I will miss everyone I met and I love you all. I definitely recommend Jackie as she will make you feel welcome into her home and provide you with opportunity to experience Tanzania!
