The Experience

We would like to host volunteers who would like to help us with the garden, and the chickens and do some minor work in and around the house. The main tasks would be: gardening, including pruning, harvesting, cutting and stacking wood, painting, helping to build a small chicken crop, etc. We are curious about people and their ideas for improvement and hope that it will be an interesting experience for both sides!

This experience was exactly what I was hoping for when signing up for Worldpackers. The host, Daniela and her husband Sergio were incredibly kind and great cooks. It was 5hrs/day (25hrs/week) of doing yard work, which was pretty flexible. Daniela basically said "do whatever you want" and I loved that freedom! The accommodations were excellent! An entire guesthouse felt like I was staying at a nice Airbnb. The place was only an 8 minute bike ride (bike & lock provided) to the train station, and then a 25-35 minute train ride into Rome - very accessible. I felt at home here! <3

Daniela y Sergio fueron súper amables con nosotros, nos abrieron su casa y sus corazones, y esto es lo que más valoro de la experiencia, que nos hicimos de unos amigos geniales. Sin duda la mejor decisión fue tener nuestra primer experiencia de voluntariado en Italia aquí. Las tareas estuvieron bien, bien comunicadas y son flexibles para adaptarse al tiempo y cansancio. Muy hospitalarios y generosos, no creo que sea así comúnmente. Inclusive la comunicación fue más fluida porque Daniela habla muy bien español. Muchas gracias por todo familia! Los vamos a extrañar!

Bellísima primer experiencia! Aún estamos acá y la estamos pasando hermoso. Daniela nos recibió con mucha calidez y atención. Tenemos un espacio muy lindo y cómodo para nosotros y las tareas que se nos asignaron van de acuerdo a lo pactado. Nos sentimos muy bien recibidos, con ganas de ambas partes por compartir y en entusiasmo por conciertos un poco más en este tiempo. Más que recomendado este lugar. Zagarolo es precioso, cerca de Roma y en un contexto natural que permite descansar y relajar.

Daniela es una persona maravillosa infinitamente atenta y charitable, desde que llegué a la experiencia me sentí bien recibido. La casa es genial y la pieza en la que me alojé totalmente cómoda!, las tareas son entretenidas a mi parecer, lo cual incluyó desmalezar, pintar y ordenar algunas cosas. También Daniela se preocupó de tener muchas opciones de comida incluyendo vegetariana. Sin duda alguna fue una experiencia increíble, muchas gracias Daniela y Sergio.

Daniela y Sergio nos hicieron sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. El lugar es increíble, muy cómodo y seguro. El trabajo fue acorde a lo descrito y tuvimos mucho tiempo para poder descansar y desconectarnos en un entorno natural. Además, la estación de trenes está a una distancia caminable y desde allí puedes llegar fácilmente a Roma. Bonus… sus adorables gatitas y Penny ❤️
