The experience

We are a family of 4 who recently moved from Italy to Brazil. We currently need volunteers interested in exchanging their knowledge and willing to learn more about woodwork, gardening, building, farming and permaculture.
We eat mostly vegan, eggs and dairy everynow and then. We love to cook our own food and avoid industrialized itens.

What you offer

24 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Beginner Portuguese

Between 22 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We ask to volunteer for 4h/p.day, 6 days a week. In exchange we offer 3 meals a day. Rides to the city of Paraty (10km away) and trips nearby with us. We have only one room with two single beds (or one double bed) with bathroom included. Housing here or in tents is agreed before arrival, depending on how many volunteers we have..
Use of internal bathroom and common areas is always possible. We ask help to keep them clean as well.

Activities & Shift

We are very connected to nature's rhythm here so the day starts early and end our days early as well. Volunteers can arrange with us their schedule and shifts in accordance to what they prefer to do and the necessities of functions described (handywork, woodwork, cleaning, gardening, farming, property maintenance (tracks and roads)

Rules

No smoking in the house or drug abuse. No cursing or downloading films as internet is via satelite and not enough.
