The experience

General help feeding the animals, gardening, and with projects. All skills welcome. We take turns cooking and cleaning. No fear if you are inexperienced with cooking. We love to share kitchen tips. Please, click LEARN MORE to have full access to our rules and conditions.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Program Details

Permaculture Retreat Center conditions for volunteers:

We do explain tasks given to volunteers and try to vary tasks, yet volunteers should be willing to help as needed.

For those that value learning all of our competencies we offer the 7-day Holistic Living Permaculture Course loaded with life skills. The course is discounted 30% for Worldpackers and costs $157.50. By taking the course we can focus our energy on instruction and hands-on experience covering organic food production, energy efficiency, and holistic medicinal practices.

MINIMUM STAY: Two weeks. Shorter stays are considered tourism. Please ask for prices.

Activities & Shift

WORK WEEK: 5 days of 5 hours and two days off


SICK DAYS: one per 3 weeks. If more are required or your stay is less than three weeks we require either the day to be made up for or a replacement worker to be paid for (50bs).

CLOTHING: please come prepared to work on a farm in a sunny climate. A wide brimmed hat (25bs locally), and long sleeved work shirt. These can be bought locally.

GLOVES: included for course participants.
