I had a good experience, I met many people from other parts of the world and I was able to make friends with other volunteers, during my stay I had to sleep in the living room, but it is something that the host lets you know from the beginning, that it can be a possibility. The tasks were quite simple, just to keep the place clean, it was very useful for me to be able to go out and explore San Diego in its entirety, and the city, not to mention, it is very beautiful.

Most volunteers yes will sleep on our CouchPoints for some time, best to bring eye-mask and ear plugs. We are happy to provide our beds if they are not sold to guests; we have been mostly full these last few months and we expect a busy summer ahead!

We are also the cheapest hostel in San Diego at $25 per night

I really loved my hostel experience! The people staying there helped a lot to make sure we had an incredible experience. The work is peaceful and Andy and Sophi are very sweet!

Amazing experience at the hostel. I met people from many places, made friends, tried the local food, went out to enjoy the night. I recommend it 100%. The work is very peaceful too.

Andy and his family are absolutely lovely hosts! They were always kind and willing to answer any questions. The location of the hostel is wonderful, simply in one of the best neighborhoods in San Diego. The tasks were very simple and I basically helped clean the inside and outside areas of the hostel. The place has a lot of people but even though I shared the living room, I felt safe. Most of the people speak Spanish, but everyone makes an effort to talk to you in English. I also met people with other native languages. In general, I'm very grateful for the experience. It was really worth it!

Many thanks to andy for this stay in his hostel in San Diego. Helpful, understanding and warm. I was able to quickly find my feet in his hostel. I recommend this hostel if you want to volunteer in San Diego!!!!

Since my first text with the host I knew my experience would be fantastic. I spent 3 weeks in this incredible community hostel, met a lot of international travelers and had time to visit the city! Andy is one of the most welcoming and friendly host I've ever met!! If you want to go on an adventure of lifetime, make friends for life and be in a chill/cosy house, it's the place to be!!! I recommend this place for sure!! :)

This was my first experience at Worldpackers and I couldn't have found a better place! Andy built a very special place that has an energy that makes it unique in the world. I was able to meet so many wonderful people with super interesting stories that made me admire them, completely changing my point of view about the world. the hostel is filled with ever-changing art everywhere you look making it a living museum. Thanks for everything Andy, I really felt at home and I look forward to returning in the future!
