During the day the volunteer will organize free activities such as – pub guiding, Olympic trip, joining the “pilgrims meal”, sauna trips, city tours, bicycling, skiing events, ice hockey games, and ski and skating trips in the winter. And lots of talk during coffee and waffles! All activities are in the name of cultural exchange and bringing people together. The volunteer will also join the staff “with an extra hand” during stressful periods.

Lillehammer is a very beautiful city and this volunteer experience is a chance to explore the surroundings and the nature. During winter you can practise all kind of winter sports like cross country ski and that is amazing! Our shifts as volunteers were: making activities with the guests, helping in the kitchen or doing the beds and in the afternoon we had waffles and coffee . In this time you have the opportunity to socialise and meet new people all around the world. This experience was really great! Thanks to the hostel Hotell and the staff!

Volunteering in Lillehammer was a fantastic experience! You get a chance to da variety of activities in the heart of nature. It is a beautiful place and you will be lucky if you get to be there. Through this volunteering you are able to explore the city and it's surroundings, do all kinds of activities in winter as skiing, hiking, ice skating and much more, at the same time of socializing and getting to know the guests. It is an amazing opportunity if you want to meet new people!

El hostel queda literalmente en la estación de tren y de buses, cosa que lo hace muy cómodo. Pero el hostel es un hostel/hotel y el voluntariado es un programa muy nuevo ahí, así que todavía no está tan instalado. Los huéspedes que van, por lo menos en invierno, no van a socializar sino que van ya con una agenda programada de esquí. Así que es difícil socializar con los huéspedes. Es posible, pero no tan probable. Pero a pesar de eso, la ciudad es hermosa y hay mucho para hacer. Muchas caminatas, diferentes caminos de esquí y mucho más.
