The experience
We're looking for someone who understands buildings and can suggest solutions: how to rebuild an small derelict house, remodel our home to meet our practical requirements, repurpose outbuildings. You'll need to measure and draw accurately, and provide solutions which will work in practice.
Also help with practical work - erect trellises, put up shelves, carry out small repairs.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Handyman:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Get free drinks or beverages.:
Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.
Requirements
Fluent English or Fluent German
Over 21 years old
Accepts solo applications and also couples and pairs
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Contribute your architecture-related knowledge, and also practical handyman skills, for a variety of tasks. The assignment would suit, for example, an architecture student or building engineer on sabbatical.
If you're a couple, one of you can do the 'architecture' work and the other can help with housework or other activities.
Activities & Shift
Measure and assess the buildings and spaces, create drawings, develop suggestions. Help with DIY, maintenance, repairs, woodworking projects, gardening (depending on your skills and on what's needed).
Work hours are flexible - you can choose your own schedule.
