The Experience

Estamos en Conil de la Frontera, província de Cádiz. Dentro del proyecto las tareas son diversas, dependiendo de la necesidad. Ahora estamos en obra: construcción de suelo y paredes de madera y hierro, albañileria, electricidad, carpintería y fontanería. Estas habilidades son importantes para nosotros. Junto con eso, vamos a trabajar el Método japonés 5S de organización de espacios: Clasificación, Organización, Limpieza, Belleza y Compromiso.

Flor was very welcoming and sweet, but it was hard to work alongside Francisco. I was provided with a respectful room to sleep in. The location was slightly far from any activities to do outside of work. Walkable, but significant time commitment. Also hard to explore the region. The hours were respected and the hosts showed flexibility as well if I needed some. Language and different personalities/interests made it harder for me to feel like I was part of the family, but it doesn't mean someone would feel the same way. Not a perfect experience, but good! Thanks again for everything!

La experiencia fue muy buena en general, tanto con los anfitriones como con el otro voluntario con el que compartimos. Flor es muy atenta a todo y sobre todo a que puedas sentirte a gusto, con francisco siempre se puede aprender algo nuevo y te ayuda en lo que necesites, son personas con muchas diferencias entre si pero ambos te entregan lo mejor que tienen para dar. En cuanto a la nave es un lugar con mucho mucho trabajo pero con un gran proyecto a futuro del cual es bueno ser parte

Me sentí incómoda debido a las frecuentes discusiones que se daban entre los anfitriones, las instalaciones no son cómodas ya que se encuentran en la misma área de trabajo, sugiero a los anfitriones que no traten a los voluntarios como trabajadores. Recomiendo el pueblo de Coníl ya que tiene una playa muy bonita.
