The experience

Lanzarote, the easternmost of all the Canary Islands, is a gorgeous example of a volcanic ecosystem, which earned the island the title of Biosphere Reserve. Our vacation home is located in the southernmost part of the island. We purchased the building in 2022 and renovated the inside - now it is time to give the outside the attention it needs, take off and and replace old cement and plaster and paint it all white. Some gardening is required.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate German

Between 23 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Volunteers will help with painting the exterior of our vacation home. They should have some experience with renovation projects and gardening.

Rules

We are looking for hands on volunteers that are familiar with renovation projects and do not need to be trained. Preferably gay male volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to use our bikes and accompany us on trips around the island if they like. There are LINK scooters and buses accessible close by.
