I had a great time at Hostel Matilda. I was a little bit nervous because this was my first experience as a volunteer, but the staff and the hostess (Rafa) did everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I only stayed for 5 days, so the tasks were kind of easy, nothing too complicated (cleaning, check in and out, guard the hostel and make the guests feel welcomed). If you're thinking to volunteer there I totally recommend you to do it!
That was, definitely, one of the best experiences I have ever had.
I knew that getting out of my comfort zone would be hard, but staying at Matilda made that so natural and easy that made me think "Why not staying here for, like, some years?"
All the people I met, all the experiences that I had made me a better person.
At the first week, all the work that I had to do were so easy and quick that made me feel like home.
And Rafaella is such an amazing, incredible and lovely person.
I would recommend Hostel Matilda to everyone I know.
I will come back, as a worldpacker or a guest s2
