Nosso espaço é mantido por doações com o objetivo de acolhimento e ciclos formativos de guardiões da floresta com o povo Awaete. Precisamos de apoio nessa jornada. Temos dificuldade de cobrir os custos básicos numa cidade com a energia mais cara do país, que contrasta o alto impacto das Hidrelétricas. Muitos são os desafios de nós indigenas e demais povos da Floresta nas tentativas de diálogo com o não indigena no acesso a nossos direitos. Por isso é fundamental sua colaboração na Casa Ancestral Janeraka Belém, onde nosso objetivo é o acolhimento e Residência Artística!

In the organization house I felt welcome and needed. My volunteer tasks were quite different from what I expected but the hosts communicated very nicely, they were always responsive and informative. I had an unfortunate accident with their energetic dog Todi. So after that, as they said, for his and my own safety, I mostly helped them to keep the house clean and tidy. I especially enjoyed to learn about the indigenous communities, their art and projects. And I want to continue looking for more contacts to help them with spreading awareness. I wish them the best time in Europe with the exhibitions!

A casa é bem espaçosa, tem piscina, cozinha compartilhada e lavanderia.O anfitrião Timei é super gentil e atencioso, tivemos mais contato com a Carla sua esposa que está mais a frente do projeto. Ajudamos na limpeza e organização do espaço e auxiliamos no desenvolvimento e escrita do projeto para futura casa de acolhimento para povos da floresta em trânsito. Algumas atividades expostas no app não foram ofertadas. Na vaga estava 10h semanais, mas a anfitriã nos solicitou trabalhar 20h porém entramos em acordo e trabalhamos 15h semanais. Em geral foi uma boa experiência.
