We are looking for a lead volunteer for our hostel in Mirissa! You will be in charge of organising and running a variety of events such as drinking games, themed parties, day trips to beach and local sights, quiz nights and our weekly booze cruise which is known all over the island of Sri Lanka! On top of that you will manage other volunteers and organise their roster and be their first point of contact before management. Bonuses & perks included
30 hours of help per week
Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.
Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.
2 days off per week
Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Are you outgoing, but organised and know how to throw a party? If yes, this is the job for you!
You will do 6 hour shifts from around 3/4pm - 8/9pm. During the day you will plan and promote the events, and then run them on the evening. There will be other volunteers and staff at your disposal but we want someone who can run them with as little input from us as possible so we can carry on improving the hostel in other ways rather than continuously running events and partying haha. You will also be in charge of the volunteer roster, holding weekly volunteer meetings and being a first point of call for them before management
