John and Lalita are great hosts, very generous, both with a heart of gold! I'm so glad I've met them, and I'm sure I will come back to see them again!
They do an amazing job, by reaching to the children of the slums, to educate them, to provide health care,... You can obviously see the difference they make to the life of these kids and that's what is the most beautiful part of this program! I feel so lucky that I had the chance to be a part of this beautiful work!
It was an incredible experience! I would totally recommend it to everyone! Why?
First of all, John and his wife and family make you feel like you are at home, they treat you as if you were another member of their family. He took me to see so many places, not only to South Bombay (touristic area) but to the places that you wouldn't go by yourself as a tourist. I've been pretty lucky!
Also, the NGO does a great work with the children of the area where John works. However, in only almost 2 weeks, I've felt that those children have done more for me than what I've done for them.
If you wish to interact with a"REAL" Indian and understand the words "POOR", or "POVERTY" better among unprivileged communities of India but within the most happening and richest city in India. This is the place for you.About the host
