Here at Helping Hand Foundation we like to receive volunteers to assist us in our social programs. We operate in the areas of education (we have 1 preschool) and health care (we have a charitable clinic). The world-packers will be accommodated in a self contained apartment flat with private bedroom/bath and we will provide breakfast and dinner.
We'd like to show the world, the actual India, so the volunteer will participate in tours and get to know how people really live in India, instead of only keeping to the touristic tour.
The world-packer won't have to pay for being a part of this program. There are no volunteering fees involved, however a minimum amount will have to be paid towards overhead charges.
1. As per Mumbai Police Law, International tourists are not allowed to stay in residential zones in Mumbai whereas NGO volunteers are exempted on conditions*
Volunteers are required to assist us in our initiatives for the unprivileged communities wherein they will be sharing their skills, expertise, energy and time which would impact lives. Volunteers can also take up initiatives benefiting poor and unprivileged communities themselves with our consent.
The main activities involve: playing with the children from our schools, teaching languages and sharing your culture.
