The Experience

Join us here at the Grand View Hostel living and working amongst travelers and hikers from all over the globe! Day to day tasks vary from housekeeping, gardening, water development projects, to easy handyman tasks. You will be sleeping in a dorm of no more than 5 others, while sharing community kitchens and common areas. We are 25 miles from Grand Canyon with world renowned hiking and backpacking.

I don't have words to describe how happy I felt at the hostel. It was a unique experience, thanks to Josh and Kylie for being the best hosts one could have during my 15-day stay. My first experience with Worldpackers and it certainly won't be the last. They are wonderful people who care about you and will be there for you if you need anything. My first Worldpackers experience at the hostel was incredible! The place truly felt like a home away from home, thanks to Josh and Kylie, who ensured we had everything we needed. The work included housekeeping at the hostel and B&B, it was completely manageable and our hours were well respected. I didn't have a car and I managed to visit fascinating the hostel Canyon, Sedona, places near Flagstaff by catching a ride with our guests or sharing a taxi with other volunteers. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a peaceful, enriching, scenic opportunity!

This was one of the best experiences of my life! Highly recommended for anyone who's wanting to try something different, meet people from other countries and enjoy the stunning beauty of Arizona. Josh and Kylie are amazing hosts and made me feel at home throughout my stay. I worked on cleaning the houses, it was an easy and fair work. If you have the opportunity of rating a car, everything gets easier, but if you don't, I recommend hitchhiking with other guests to visit the hostel Canyon, that's what I did. They were all very nice and it was an awesome opportunity to get to know them better.
