Help us cooking dinner for our guests in Roatan

The Exchange

We've started a small restaurant for our hostel guests, and need someone to cook dinners. Generally there are just 2-6 guests for dinner (plus my 2 kids and 1), and it's 1 different option each night, with a vegetarian version available. Dinner cook volunteers receive a free place to stay, wi-fi and dinner. You'll be needed in the kitchen to start prepping around 5, dinner is at 7, so you'll usually be done by 8.

Program Details

We have a hostel that sleeps up to 26, but usually for dinner at the restaurant there are just a few people. Things that we serve are relatively easy dishes, like curries, pasta, calzones, burgers, fajitas- you'd be welcome to suggest dishes that you'd like to prepare, just has to have a veg option, and ingredient costs need to be kept fairly low as we just charge $6-$7 for dinner. You'd be expected to let guests know what you'll be serving and encourage sign ups, prep, cook, serve dinner and any drinks, mark down what each person had, and clean up afterwards.
The hostel has a communal kitchen, so you can prepare your own breakfasts and lunches, and dinners are included the nights that you're cooking. We also have a pool and patio that you can enjoy while you're here.
