The Experience
Have you ever wanted to take a break from your current life, experience Puerto Escondido, and live and breathe a growing hostel project? As a Human Leader, you will have the opportunity to spend 4 - 8 weeks staying in one of our hostels on the Oaxacan coast. In return, you will be in charge of making our guests have a great time, be that through leading activities, helping out at the reception, or simply cotorreando! Learn how to be calm.

The guest house was my first travel and volunteering experience, and everything about it was amazing!. The hostel it's located really near to La punta beach. Anahí was the best host!, she was super friendly with me, and now she's like a sister for me :), she always took care of me and made my experience incredible, I also met beautiful people . I was supposed to stay just one month, but I extended for one more, Casa the guest house was like a home for me . The tasks were really easy, we just had to help with the check ins, and keep clean the common areas, kitchen and pool. I definitely recommend it!

I'm so grateful for every moment spent with the Casa OmChakra Team! I was supposed to stay for 4 weeks but extended my stay for another week which I think says for itself how great the place is. The work is pretty simple and even during the working hours you can find time to read books etc. The hostel is peaceful but also has a great location as you can reach the main street of La Punta within 5 minutes. The stay would not be that great without the loveliest manager - Anahi. She put effort to host me not only as a manager but also as a friend, showing me the beauty of Mexican culture.

I had an amazing time. Puerto Escondido is such a cool city, and if you like to surf or play volleyball it's perfect. I loved getting to meet people from all over the world all the time. The management was great and I always felt supported and valued. Definitely recommend!

Mi estadía en Casa la casa fue maravillosa. El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor y la ubicación es increíble. Las tareas a realizar fueron sencillas y siempre se respetó lo acordado. Puerto Escondido es un lugar precioso por sus playas y por todas las actividades que hay para realizar allá, pero lo que hizo de esta experiecia algo realmente especial fue toda la gente que pude conocer en el camino, tanto dentro como fuera del hostal. Siempre estaré agradecida por mi estancia en la casa, con Anahí, Naty, las demás voluntarias y toda la gente que me brindó su amistad durante este viaje!

Me encantó mi experiencia en la casa! Es un lugar súper tranquilo se siente mucha paz, Anahí es súper buena líder, siempre dispuesta a ayudarnos y el equipo de voluntarias es muy chido, me encantó que está súper cerca de la playa y todos los días podía ir a ver el atardecer :) sin duda una gran experiencia en la casa!
