I arrived with a very low level of English and I feel that I have improved. Jackeline is a great cook, I liked everything she prepared, the work is easy and the place Bolton is very quiet. If you are looking for peace and quiet and to learn more about the local culture while practising English, I highly recommend this volunteer placement.

Ederson enjoyed his volunteering experience, helping me strip the wallpaper upstairs, sanded down the woodwork, and I taught him how to apply ceiling paper. Ederson was diligent in studying English grammar and vocabulary in order to improve his level of English.
I wish him best wishes for future ventures.

My experience with Jacqui was excellent, she is very patient and communicative and this is great for practicing English, and she lent me some books to improve my English, and she makes great food, the tasks are very calm, the house is comfortable and just a few minutes from the city center, which is really cool. And she is a very intelligent person who likes to share about various other cultures as well. Thank you Jacqui for the learning opportunity in your home!

Éric was a very good volunteer and keen to improve his knowledge of English, however I was a little unhappy when he departed suddenly to take up another volunteer opportunity. I wish him good luck with future ventures.

It was a great experience, I improved my English, I learned some cooking recipes and maintenance things. Jackie is a great host, her house is very cozy. The tasks are not very heavy and the cooking is delicious. Bolton is a lovely province; It has several very nice parks and a great center. Manchester is a beautiful and historic city and is only 1 hour away by bus.

I helped paint the house, and the work was quite easy. The hostess loves to chat, and I had English lessons to practice the language. I had a very positive experience with her; the hours were flexible, she was patient with my English and everything went as planned. However, if you work remotely, the lack of internet and weak signal can be an issue. Jacqueline informed me about this before I arrived, so it wasn't a surprise. The house is organized and comfortable, and the food provided is excellent. It's just three minutes from the bus stop or a 30min walk to Bolton, a 40min metro to Mancheste.

Thank you David for your help, it was much appreciated. I too occasionally need a rest day which includes not cooking or cleaning.
Your extra pair of hands has made a difference.
