The Exchange

We are a non-profit independent organization that is dedicated to the construction of cultural spaces for children and youth in the department of Boyaca (Colombia). Using diverse artistic languages, tending to the consolidation of non-formal and popular education scenarios. We are located in the municipality of Tunja.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teach a language to guests or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

We firmly believe that everyone has something unique to teach to others. Volunteers will have the liberty to promote any educational or artistic activites they like with the kids and young people from the community.
We usually have reading sessions, film cicles, artistic workshops, etc. It would be great if you can can teach them other Languages.
I'm a university teacher at Colombia's National Pedagogic University and volunteers will be staying with me.
