The Exchange

Our project is surrounded by protected areas including Bahía Ballena, Dominical Beach, Playa Hermosa, Chirripo, Manuel Antonio and Drake Bay among many other natural parks. All of them contain up to the 5% of the world's biodiversity. We believe in human development in all areas is possible with the conservation of the environment. Our team is eager to have you and share our beautiful country with you!


20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Exchange and wash bed linens. Make the beds.

Gardening: Help to grow and cultivate plants.

Program Details

We offer a unique volunteering experience in Costa Rica, where you will be an important pillar to develop our foundation, living in the mountains; designing and implementing new projects, researching and executing new development models.
The volunteer package is perfect for true nature lovers
We are located in the high mountains of Barú, in the southern pacific of Costa Rica.
On our farm you can walk to the waterfalls, camping, and hiking.
The cost of volunteering is $ 15 per day, including:
Guide for activities and hiking
All times of meals and fruits
Visit to neighboring agroecological farms
Transportation to our farm and internal transportation to sites of interest (beaches)

Volunteer Schedule are from Monday to Thursday, but if they wish they can stay in the cabins on free days. On your free days you can go to the different beaches of the South Pacific and national parks

Activities & Shift

We give you the opportunity to stay in the house in the mountain. It has not intromission of manpower and the constructions you can find here are handmade. You can found yourself surrounded by nature and native animals. Activities include reforestation’s projects, study flora and fauna in the zone, water resource projects, besides other projects that build up community's economy through the management of natural resources.

The activites will be:

Language exchange.
