I agree with all the previous comments, unfortunately volunteering there was one of the worst experiences in my life. Not only the host doesn't respect our working hours but also she's very bad at management and communication in general. I had stayed there for 3 weeks and then I had to go out and stay in another hostel until I went back home. Wouldn't recommend it.
It was THE WORST experience. Our boss was very Disorganized and since the beginning we had no schedule. In my first week ,me and another guy worked all the time in the hostel, much more than 5 hours that we apply. In the second week more people arrived, but nothing changed, I forgot how much times I had to woke up in the middle of night to do late check-in even in my free days or free time. BUT, THIS IS NOT MAIN THE PROBLEM, our boss was very headstrong and the communication was horrible, she was even rude sometimes. In the end 4 Volunteers left the hostel earlier. I DON T recommend it.
After my first experience volunteering in Wp I was really excited for the next one. The host was really rude and hipocrite and just listened when something interested her. She didnt respect the hours that we applied for and made us work more hours everyday. One day after the shift was over the other volunteers wanted to go out and she said to all the volunteers that if we wanted to go out we should leave but with our things. It was really tense, bad vibe, she manipulate things. The rooms are really hot with no fan at 40 C all day. The only good thing was the food. I really dont recommend this
