The Experience
Large beachfront estate with several old buildings needing constant maintenance Depending on the season, we are looking for : -help with the house and gardens --people with restoration skills, masonry, carpentry, general maintenance. -help with the land, olives picking, weeding, planting, pruning etc. Located in the country, you should probably rent a scooter or something.

Sadly, I cannot recommend Panteli as a host. The responsibilities I initially agreed to kept expanding, and when I asked for explanation, he responded with anger: “Don't ask so many questions. Just do it, and if you do it wrong, I'll tell you.” His attitude became increasingly condescending, especially toward women, eg judging an applicant's weight, saying, “I can't take this one, I couldn't feed her.” Although the location is beautiful, poor communication, shifting expectations, and disrespect overshadowed the experience. If you value mutual respect, avoid this host.

This helper craves constant attention and expects people to be impressed with her.
When this was not offered, she started to continuously ask for detailed explanations for the simplest things, like how to coil the garden hose, complained that her room did not have enough light, and instead of doing her daily chores, she spent an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen and on the internet "searching for recipes ".
On the third day she "fell ill" and stayed in bed for two days (no fever, she refused to have a doctor see her) .
After that she was asked to leave.
She sent me a few texts blaming me for ignoring her situation, and tried to tell me that all this was my fault.
She is high maintenance, opinionated, and will be probably difficult to adapt to the helpers requirements.
