As a first WorldPacker experience it was good. The tasks were what I thought they would be, easy and manageable. The best part was exploring the Val-de-Loire region which is super accessible, every day I could take a train to a new city or explore the castles. The deliverance and planning of the schedule needs improving, the bike was dangerous to ride since the breaks didn't work properly. Overall a nice experience

I really enjoied my stay at Felicidade. In only 15 days I could meet people from 5 different countries speaking different languages and we soon became all friends. Everyone at this hostel is very respected and everybody is polite with the others. Leticia et Manou explained us our mansions with calm and patient, been always helpful. Mer is quite a small city, but during the free days it's possible to visit castles all around and it is easy to go in other cities not so far. Just a very good experience:))

My first experience as a Worldpackers volunteer and it couldn't have been better. Besides the easy activities we have to do, I had the chance to meet some local citizens which I appreciated a mot. Letícia and Stephane are also incredible people who will always be there to help you when needed. Merci mille fois, Letícia and Stephane!!

I had a great time at the hostel, but since I don't speak French I was at the cleaning shift everyday, what is kind of exhausting, but it was fine! There's a lot of food and a kitchen only for the staff!! The work was fine, the only thing is that I wasn't able to rotate. The laundry machine was broken but the laundromat is 10/15 min walking from the hostel. Mer is a really small but cute city! I would definitely recommend this volunteer for someone who wants a chill place to save some money and make good friends!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I had a great time! I traveled with my friend Ale and spent 3 weeks there. Mer is a tiny tiny town, but you can easily access other places by train (going to Blois and Tours is a fun thing to do on your days off!). Leticia and Manu are super sweet and made sure to help us at all times. Leticia even took some of us to visit Chambord. Hours of work were always respected. You had the kitchen filled with food to cook yourself (Manu was often kind enough to leave lunch or dinner ready for the staff, valeu Manu!) Obrigada de novo, Letícia e Stephane!

The hostel is a nice place and everyone is very welcoming. I think the time division could be better, because, although they are respected, they are often spread out throughout the day and defined at the last minute, which makes it difficult to plan for other activities.

My time at the hostel couldn't be better!! Mer is a small pretty city that is situated in a region with plenty of other cities that you can go easily by train on your time off!! Letícia, the manager is an extraordinary person, always doing everything she can to help everyone, and every work day, she makes sure that you just work for the 6 hours you need, and any more than that!! I worked at the bar most of the days and i really could improve my french. So if you are looking for a calm place to meet nice people and get to know the french culture, this is the best place!!

The hostel was an amazing experience! I met awesome people, and both Leticia and Manu were kind and welcoming. The work consists of easy tasks such as working on the bar- which gives you a great opportunity in improving your French in practicing with the locals- and cleaning the rooms. the hostel immediately felt like home and everyone takes care of each other here like in a family. Highly recommend you join their team and gain some great memories like I did. Will miss you all dearly!

My first volunteering was awesome at the hostel! The working hours were absolutely followed, the host team is amazing and really friendly (i mean, brazilians, right? haha) and you have time to go around and visit the cities near you! I could perfectly practice my french when the locals would come or when I was out. The tasks required are well taught and easy to do, so dont worry! I'll never forget my two months there, leticia, stephane, manu or guigui, it was a life experience. Thank you so much for everything!
