The experience

I'm looking for a cool person to hang out with and there is no limit if we feel it's worth it.
I'm very interested in politics, and my values are left-leaning.
I'm paralyzed from the neck down and need help in my everyday life. Kim (my wife) does all my physical care, and you would be doing the things that offset my paralysis. For example, maybe you would drive me somewhere or help me around the house during the week.

What you offer

6 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

I'm generally looking for person with common interests. I believe in everyone's right to exist and to do everything they want as long as they do not harm each other.
Social justice and equity is important.
I'm politically active and look forward to a more progressive political atmosphere.

Activities & Shift

I live in the beautiful area called the San Francisco Bay area. I live in a small city 28 miles east of San Francisco. I can give you lots of information once we get into contact with each other.
There's so much to do here that there isn't enough space to describe everything.
