I felt at ease and had my space throughout my time volunteering. Sevasti, the owner, was very kind from the beginning, making me feel very welcome. The chores are quick and simple. I worked with Juliette, who is the woman who does the cleaning, It was a pleasure. She treated me like her daughter and we had fun while we were doing the chores. Thank you, Sevasti. I got to know a lot about Greece.

The hostel is the perfect place to stay at in the center. The work is not hard at all and everyone working there was really nice and helpful. The hostel is not very big so it feels private and not overwhelming at all. I would definitely recommend this place for everyone who wants to explore Athens and meet some interesting people.

I had a very sketchy roommate and he was very rude. He made me and another very uncomfortable. We tried to speak to the owner about our concerns but she didn't do anything. She said we couldn't get another room which is fair but when I left earlier than expected the man got his own room. It felt like our concerns didn't matter and I couldn't sleep well at night.

The work experience was good, with calm hours and tasks. Julieta, a team member, was very helpful. Although the project wasn't what I initially applied for, Sevasti was transparent about the change. The main issue was living with a difficult fellow volunteer, an older Greek man, who contributed little and was rude, even invading personal space. Despite communicating with Sevasti, no real changes occurred, leading another volunteer to leave early. While things slightly improved, better communication beforehand would have helped.
