The Experience

Assistance with primary day-to-day tasks of maintenance/housekeeping inside and in the garden is always welcome, but not necessarily needed. We are primarily looking to host based on what the volunteer is proficient at & enjoys doing outside of a computer, and would prefer to agree on a volunteering exchange based on this factor. So all creatives that aren't limited to working digitally are welcome to apply.

I had a super lovely time at the guesthouse in Elizabeth. Unfortunately my time was cut short due to external personal issues, but the owner Doug has always been super accommodating and never made it feel like a high-pressure environment. He really values your independence and works around your strengths. The work is light and becomes natural very quickly. It's a super pleasant environment for the guests and my role mostly involved maintaining that by being around to accommodate their needs. The accommodation is comfortable and made me feel at home very quickly. Thank you Doug!
