The Exchange

During 2014 a Japanese anime was filmed at Fosse Farmhouse.The anime Kiniro Mosaic is the story of Alice Cartelet a British teenager who lives here with her family. Alice invites Shinobu her best friend from Japan to visit her for the summer holidays. The visit many local touist attractions together. Many Japanese and American fans now come and stay who have seen the anime on TV.If you love this media you will love staying here!

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Painting & Decorating: Help to maintain the appearance inside and outside the building.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs.

Gardening: Help to grow and cultivate plants.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: Have a private room to chill and relax just by yourself.

Breakfast: Get your free breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

Lunch: Free lunch is served y'all, get yours!

Dinner: Have your free dinner before going to bed.

Free Laundry: There's a special place where all the clothes get cleaned for free.

Program Details

Our helpers live with the hosts during the day and eat all meals together and have their own Shepherds Hut in the garden to sleep in.
Everyday will bring different tasks depending on the season.
We enjoy learning from travellers the skills that they have and sharing our own.

Activities & Shift

Each morning you will help prepare breakfast and serve it to our guests.
After clearing up in the kitchen we will then begin to make beds and tidy the guest bedrooms. After lunch that you can prepare for yourself we will do some gardening or home maintenance or Jam making.
Meals times are excluded from the hours that you will help here.
