This volunteering helped me improve my teaching skills and it was so lovely to work with children. C4C arranged for me to teach in Hanoi at Peter's Garden and I had a wonderful time there. Teaching in a different country is an experience we all must try! What's more, the host, Peter, was flexible and willing to help when needed. The accommodation was not in the center of the city but you find everything you need around and it is not difficult to get to the center by taking one bus. Kuddos and the best to all involved!

C4C placed me to volunteer as a kindergarten teacher at Peter Garden and was most unexpected, interesting and learning experience of a lifetime for me. I couldn't have had a better host than him, always willing to help make us comfortable and went out of his way to make us experience the Vietnamese culture, food from the locals I feel sick the few days I arrived, the organization of weather and I had the best care, including the assistants at the school.

Hi Sheila,

We at Catalyst for Change are thrilled to hear about the wonderful experience you had volunteering with us in Vietnam. It is feedback like yours that motivates us every day to pursue our mission of ethical volunteer placements and sustainable community development.

It's local leaders like Peter who bring our mission to life by welcoming volunteers like yourself as not just extra help but as part of their community. The fact that he went above and beyond to share Vietnamese culture and ensure you felt cared for upon arriving speaks volumes about his alignment with C4C values. We are so pleased that we could make this connection.

Moving forward, C4C aims to become Vietnam's most trusted volunteer placement program, rooted in mutual understanding and positive local impacts. I truly believe volunteers like you embody this dream partnership we strive for. Please consider recommending C4C to any fellow travelers interested in meaningful voluntourism.

Wishing you safe onward travels and please stay in touch!
